I have scoured the documentation and the forums and have come up empty. Is there an easy way to open URLs or other links in a new window or tab instead of in the same tab? I had hoped it would be by username but I didn't find it there either. I am not even sure this can be done - all of our my instances of refbase operate the same way so….any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is no such per-user setting & adding one would be a bit of work. Any reason that this shouldn't be solved client-side (letting users ctrl-click or middle click or right click->open in new tab)? You could modify the refbase sourcecode to make it happen for all users.
