    Hello again,

Redo uses the i686/i386 kernel which is great for being more or less universally functional. The one snag that I've encountered is that i686/i386 doesn't include virtualization drivers for XenServer to allow a bare metal backup to be restored on XenServer.

I have experimented and was able to replace the i686 kernel with the i686-PAE kernel of the same version and subsequently been able to restore to a XenServer VM.

If a new version is in the works, can there be more than one kernel build supported to allow for these discrepancies? I don't know if there's any drivers in the 64-bit kernel that i686-PAE drops that people might also need.

    Regards,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Can you confirm which ISO you were using?
I have release a couple of updated ISO's with newer Kernels installed.

Either way I'll make a note to try to add newer Kernel + Xen + VMware drivers etc to the next update.

      Hi,

This was the 1.0.4 ISO available on SourceForge. I wasn't aware until today that you were releasing new versions... will you be able to start updating SourceForge again? Sourcing from OneDrive is not exactly something that flies well with corporate security.

I did try your latest and it is working for me in Xen. 1.0.4 itself worked fine with VMWare and VirtualBox already.

      Thanks,
      Dave
