The files attached here are all PC-98 MAG images, but are being misidentified by RECOILwin as other computers (MSX2 and PC-88VA, mainly).
The machine ID should be mainly obtained from the "Computer model code", at offset +1 of the 2nd part of the header of a MAG file, as described here:

And the machine string at the offset +8 of the 1st part of the MAG header should only be used to differentiate some specific cases, like some X68K files with 1:1 Pixel Aspect Ratio.
For the MSX standard, it's better to differentiate between MSX2 and MSX2+ using the "Model-dependent flags" at the offset +2 of the 2nd part of the header: screen modes 5 to 8 are MSX2, and screen modes 10 to 12 are MSX2+.
