I'd missed a bunch of German region name updates in v1.7. Thanks to ElKano and the Gatherer forums they should be better now. I've also fixed a number of vendor data bugs, including the annoying Tanaris error.
I'd like to blame the nasty bugs in 1.6 on the latest WoW patch, but in fact they were my fault..! I hope they'll be fixed in this new version - especially the non-English issues - so that I can move on to improving the addon instead of making it work like it's supposed to!
A few other fixes made it into this version as well. The ChangeLog can provide more details.
For so long a delay, this release isn't too significant. I've hopefully fixed a fairly serious bug in the non-English versions, and I've added a small right-click context menu to the scroll frame that allows the user to expand/collapse all and map vendors.
Enjoy!
It turns out that Mithril Head Trout and Enchant Bracer - Healing were just the tip of the iceberg. There are about 100 recipes across all locales that are named inconsistently within the game. If I've missed any as of this version, please let me know!
I've also fixed the incompatibility with Metamap, though due to what is possibly a minor bug in it, minimapping addons like Recipe Radar or Gatherer still don't work perfectly at all times.... read more
A real, live German translation has been included in this release thanks to DJMars and Elkano. I had to modify their contributions just a tiny bit, so rest assured that any remaining language blunders are my own fault.
Additionally, v1.4 fixes some bugs and introduces a new color (blue!) for the alliance. The ChangeLog has full details. Enjoy!
Turns out the non-English versions still aren't perfect - doh. This version should fix a bug that was preventing about half of the maps from displaying on non-English clients. English users can probably skip this release.
Thanks to some excellent bug reports, the non-English versions should now be better off. I've fixed a chatlog parsing bug that was a lot more serious than one would expect. I've also added the ability to auto-map contributable vendors, but not by default - see the options frame to enable this feature.
The first release went far better than I expected, but not perfectly! A number of small bugs have been fixed for this version. I have also included what I hope is a workable French localization and, by popular request, the ability to select regions other than the one you are currently in.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted ideas and words of encouragement!
With the help of my excellent beta testers, I think Recipe Radar may finally be ready for public release. See the home page for documentation and a couple of brief tutorials.
Enjoy!
With the creation of the SF development site, earnest beta testing of Recipe Radar can now begin!
