Beetle-6 is ReaX with a totally new template-engine. It works, mostly :-). Only the CSW may be quite buggy. I tested it a few times: sometime it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'll get it fixed in the next beta-release.
In the mean while: have fun with it! :-)
Whoohoo, it's here, at last. I got sick and was busy with school, so it to a little longer than expected.
CSW is working now, but the templates are not 100% OK. They're more examples. I need to develop a method to create cut-to-design-templates, as CSW is expected to do. But I didn't want to hold you up any longer. With some study you'll get it working, I'm sure. In any other case: contact me and I'll try to help you as soon as possible.
Have fun with ReaX-1.0-beetle-5 [which might be cricket-1, who knows....]
... is coming, don't you worry. It has some mayor bugfixes and even might be the last beetle-release. But: currently, I'm a bit short on time, so work is going slow. Furthermore, making CSW to work appears a bit more difficult than I expected: I need to make some changes on the template-engine. But because this engine was not written by me, but by Bart Coppens [http://www.bartcoppens.be], it takes some tome to figure out how it exactly works. (I am thinking about writing a new template-engine, but this will take even more time...).
So until beetle-5: keep bughunting and checking back at this site.
Updates are coming fast now. As you might have noticed, some releases have serveral files. These are updates: same version, but only with a few minor bugfixes, mostly type-errors.
If you want to help bughunting, please check out the releases daily and download the latest version. You can submit bugs at the bugtracker.
If you just want to run ReaX, I suggest you wait untill ReaX reaches the cricket-stage.
Since "pissebed", "bromtor" and "krekel" are really, really weird words for those who cannot read Dutch, we changed the codenames. From now on release will be called resp. cockroach, beetle and cricket (I'm to lazy to change filenames of previous releases, so they won't be changed ;-))
The bromtor-release is a release with all planned functionality included, but also with all bugs. ReaX will stay in this bromtor-stage untill we think all (or almost all) bugs are fixed and it's ready for use.
In the first pissebedrelease, I forgot to include the SQL-dumps, which are quite necessary. My fault. I have removed the previous release and added the release with the dump. Have fun with it...
Ok, finally we started releasing stuff. Each file in the reax-dev package is named: reax-x.y-codename.zip
x.y represents the versionumber, starting with 1.0.
codename is "pissedbed", "bromtor" or "krekel". "pissebed" is pre-alpha, buggy as hell and is very likely to miss some templates or somthing like that. "bromtor" is the fixed version of "pissedbed", but still might have some bugs. "krekel" should be bug-free, and will be released copied to the reax package and ready for use. It'll still be in the reax-dev package as well.
Versionnumbers will change as we think it should change ;-)
