You could boot freeldr from a floppy disk, that way without the floppy, you boot dos, insert floppy, and freeloader boots reactos. If loadros were rewritten to chain load freeldr, I think it would only take about 100 lines of asm, if that. Writing it in C would then require a dos C compiler.
