Well I don't know if too much _development_ focus is being put on the
GDI/GUI. Its mainly discussion at the moment. Overall, development
seems to be very balanced.

To me it seems that getting basic networking going will take more
than the GDI (although I could be mistaken). To me it looks this way
because there are a lot of drivers and APIs that need to be written
before the basics are working.
