Well, the development has started to slow, like I expected. I have lost a little intrest, and a lot of time. Each wekkend and day seems shorter with more things to do... But I HOPE to be able to release something new in the next few weeks. THe current build is currently ina broken state, vim and ncurses isnt working. TO fix this, I may just post the code out...

Second, I have changed the stats for the box.

It has most of the things the box needs... Though the tv tuner might not be the corect chipset... I will research that...

Sorrythat the release schedule is way off, version 0.l.0 will probably be the next release, lots of updates, plus a functioning dev box...

The main hurdle now is time... I don;'t have very much of it...Starting taking lots of new classes and having lots of homework, finding less time to work in the REACTIONsystem, BUT ITS NOT DEAD!

I also have the problem with tgetting the HW, but until the 1.0 release, generic HW is ok...... read more

Networking installed, loopback works
and gcc has been compiled into the base...

Though I'm havbing troublw with my kernel modules, so cant connect to lan, for others it may work...

Will release v0.0.4, in 2-3 days, with all features that I plan in the trackers...

Released verion 0.0.2 of both the base system and the kernel! Thebase sytem wouldnt boot, and I forgot the modules for the kernel =(. Reminder, do not upload something without testing. But I also changed a few configurations...

Added documentation on how to put reiserfs support into madrake 8.0, and updates trove to alpha stage!

v0.0.1 of REACTIONsystem has been released, and so has the install documentation...

Tasks have been set up in the distro...

I have the dev system booting with reiserfs...Now starting to build the distro..will be uploading it soon, prob. tonight.

read below for rrason, once everything is done, will use xfs...

xfs is a bitxh to set up... here goes:
tried from slack 7.1 to compile kern...nope
installed mandrake 8.0, after updating almost everything...will compile but now boot correctly with compiled or srock xfs kernel...
so I am now(6 o'clock) dling redhat cd 1 iso, at ~45kb/s, take 4 hours, then I will install sgis, kernel with their system...

Will work 24/7 on REACTIon on weekend:
My development station will be:
2 partion hd, 1 ext2 and the other xfs
debian for dev and lfs or some embedded linux for the REACTIONos.

THe choice of gpu is currently between the ati and the nvidia...
The peoblem is that while the ati card is open-sourced, the most important aspects are not in the driver... Though precision insight is working on it....
Nvidia has most functions enabled but has a colsed source drivers and there are problems with it...
