Version 2.0.0 has been released.
This is the first beta-level release, for more information see the release notes and changelog.

I have completed the next part of the project - all contact fields are now stored and retrieved.

I have also changed and improved some other features.

At the moment my computer is being repaired but as soon as I get it back I will upload the next version. This will be around tuesday probably.

Close to beta-stage.

The minimum specification database server for this application has changed:
MySQL 4.0.16 - The latest is recommended, although MySQL 4.0.2 should work in theory.
I'm just not sure.

Adding contacts works, but only first and last name fields are stored currently.
Viewing contacts works on the same basis as above currently.
Deleting of contacts works faultlessy.
The 'View Details' of a contact should be ignored at this time.... read more

New version:
Not alot of major changes. Just many small changes. See the changelog for (a little!) more detail.

I will upload the project site very soon, before the weekend certainly.
This will contain much more information on the project and its aims.
I will also try to include a simple 'roadmap' type article so you know where the project is going..

Work on the new version of Contact Organizer (version 2) has begun.
I have uploaded the first alpha release (2.0.0a1); this is obviously nowhere near complete.
The current version has a beta-level login system for multiple users.

Next, I will try to implement the beginnings of the layout and some simple record-retrieval operations.
