You'll need a Windows machine, and usb-snoop: http://benoit.papillault.free.fr/usbsnoop/
You'd have to load up usb-snoop and have it snoop the
device, and perform all the setting changes you can, marking
the size of the file and what you did for each one. Then, I
need the file, the list of sizes/what was done, and you'll
have to stick around for testing to make sure everything
gets set right in razertool. If you're up for it, I'd love
to add the support to razertool.

I've got Diamondback today, will sticking around require Windows? I think I can find a Windows to pull some dumps but not at home (which is Windows-free :-).
Guess just plucking another product id might gonna eat poor animal? ;-)

I would say early next year. A little bit earlier, but we have a lot to do until then. The reason we´re not doing it now is because we´re gonna wait until the keyboard is out.

That was likely a year on top of a forecast, maybe we'd re-ask.

Also Habu support would be nice.
ID for habu can be changed, but it changes from 0x00fb to 0x0009 after firmware update (to 2.01).
And please modify razertool.h and relevant files so that you can easily add new IDs,
now you compare only against USB_PRODUCT_RAZOR_COPPERHEAD.
After firmware update I was able to use razertool to change DPI and HZ of my Habu.
Thanks.

Wrote Razer (here: http://www.razerzone.com/contact/customerservice/index.htm\) re Linux driver, Phoronix referenced lomoco (for Logitechs), and spotted this one on razerblueprints:

The open source idea seems to be pretty dead at the moment. Asked Razer about this issue last year and the answer was more or less: "Not now, perhaps later".

I've mentioned that there are less radical ways, but seems there will be no initiative that side.
Oh well.

No news for the DiamonBack support ? :/
Of all those guys, noone bothered to snoop? Or is the data there, only time needed for coding? What's the matter?
I did an usb-snoop with http://www.pcausa.com/Utilities/UsbSnoop/default.htm
But I was unable to attach it here. Please look at 2966737
Let me know if I can help.
