Message: The following issue has been closed. Resolver: Jeremy Esland Date: mar, 18 gen 2005 6:20 PM This was a "Microsoft-ism": Explorer uses either Alt or Title tag to display tooltip, others ONLY use the Title tag. The .cs code was setting "this.Title", but the default .NET rendering for that attribute is to set the Alt tag in the HTML output. I've changed the code so the Title attribute is now set explicitly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- View the issue: http://support.rainbowportal.net/jira/browse/BACKLOGS-79 Here is an overview of the issue: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: BACKLOGS-79 Summary: Missing title attribute on images Type: Improvement Status: Closed Priority: Trivial Resolution: FIXED Project: Rainbow Backlogs Components: Rainbow Portal Fix Fors: Improvements to existing... Versions: Improvements to existing... Assignee: Jeremy Esland Reporter: Aaron Ullom Created: mar, 19 ott 2004 7:41 PM Updated: mar, 18 gen 2005 6:20 PM Environment: Win XP SP2, Firefox 1.0PR, Netscape, Mozilla, IE 6.0 Description: The [title] attribute is missing from images. While IE usually displays the [alt] text in place of the missing [title] text, this behaviour is incorrect. Gecko based browsers will only display [title] text when an image is hovered over, and use the [alt] text when the image cannot be found. Consequently, non IE users do not see any hover text for images. --------------------------------------------------------------------- JIRA INFORMATION: This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
