I'm starting to really like ra.sh (we're currently running 1.5.0), however there are some small changes I'd like to suggest. A) can we get short forms of the ra.sh options? You know, like -u for update, or -f for force, etc. B) is it possible to suppress printing the list of directories examined? Perhaps a -q (or quiet flag) C) can we by default, or by another flag, get the difference transcript printed out to the screen, in addition to the option to edit the list with the editor? When I'm finished editing the difference transcript and close vi, those changes are no longer visible on the screen. This makes it more difficult to remember the details to effectively do an lfdiff on the pieces I had questions about. D) It would be awesome to have a command that would automatically run lfdiff on every entry inside a difference transcript that exists already. This might be a new radmind command entirely, but I doubt it should be much work. E) it would also be nice to be able to toss a flag (or do it by default) to delete the unused transcripts which live in /var/radmind/ client/ - I find myself doing this often: cd /var/radmind/client/ rm -rf * ra.sh update find . -name "*transcript-name*" # or this: egrep -ri "filename" * F) when using ra.sh -V, it prints out the current date instead of the radmind suite version: VERSION=`date +%Y%m%d` Thanks! - Willie -- Willie Northway University of Michigan Webmaster Team http://willienorthway.com/ http://www.umich.edu/~umweb/ |
