Login page not showing in desktop devices

Hello,

Fist of all congratulations for the excellent work you have done with the Radiusdesk.
Second, I need help.
I used the Install from source on Ubuntu instructions and everything went fine, except on the login page for desktop computers. Works fine on mobile devices, tested with Android smartphone.
On windows PC I'm getting a blank page, no errors, no other information, I can see for 1 second the information that the page is loading and then nothing happen. tested with Chrome, Opera, IE and firefox, same problem.

Everything seems fine but no login screen.

Could you help? I don't know what else to do...

Hi Norberto,

Glad you like the software and hope the following quick fix will solve your problem:

In the /etc/chilli/config file change the following:

    HS_SSID="GreenEarth"

to

    HS_SSID="Struisbaai"

Then restart CoovaChilli

    sudo /etc/init.d/chilli stop
    sudo /etc/init.d/chilli start

So here's what happened and why.....

• The Dynamic Login Pages needs something in the URL to link the CoovaChilli instance with a dynamic login page.
• The documentation was outdated where we defined the ssid as GreenEarth instead of Struisbaai
• So in the URL you will see there is an entry ssid=GreenEarth (which should now be ssid=Struisbaai)
• This ties in with the SA Coast Dynamic Login Page.
• When you edit this page the last tab called Dynamic keys lets you define a key /value pair along with priority to connect any of the elements in the query string to the specific page.
• The default entry already has an entry for ssid=Struisbaai which is why we simply adapted the Coova to suit the current sample data.

Yes, that makes perfect sense, thanks a lot for your help, it is working now!
I will continue to test Radiusdesk for the next weeks.

Once again congratulations for your work. I have tested lots of hotspot managers, including payed ones and Radius desk is one of the best I found.

I've create a dynamic login page but when I apply what you say above, the original dynamic login page appear (the one with pictures already make).what can I do ?

Hi Meche,

Re-check the Dynamic Keys tab. Remember to remove the current one from Struisbaai and then add it to your new page.

If not removes it will keep displaying the previous one.

Thanks for your answer, I've a last question off-topic. I create some vouchers for 1h and after use one of them, it's not delete. I want delete them automaticaly, what can I do ?

Hi Meche,

If it is only the Desktop pages; be sure to load at least one photo. It does not like an empty photo list.

Thanks Dirk, it's work but now it's for mobile pages. When my androdevice is connected to my server by wifi, i can access to my server by enter the url, but redirection don't want to redirect.
