Some of these things may well be in the beta release already but I just don't know about it (I didn't spend too much time reading the documentation other than a glance through the quick-start instructions). I may be available sometime soon to help add some of these features myself if it makes sense for me to do so (rather than you that is). I read that Radical is now essentially a part of another project and realize that you may want to have changes made there first, and since I'm not familiar with that project I may not be a good candidate for that. Let me know what you think and if you're interested in any Radical-specific help. Thanks again. Stu |

Thanks Stu, I want to try to find the time to finalize the next release of Radical, but I have trouble making the time. I think the beta is a major improvement over the prior version, so it would be worthwhile to have it be made available more generally. Definitely let me know what your issues are and if they are not too difficult to deal with, maybe I will find the time to include them in the next release if I ever get the time to work on it. :-) -> richard Stu Penrose wrote: >Richard, > I've been using the beta you posted last October for 3 months and a >couple of projects now. Richard,
I've been using the beta you posted last October for 3 months and a
couple of projects now. It's been very useful to me. Thanks so much
for releasing it. There are some annoyances but I realize it is a
rough product still. Perhaps I'll elaborate more later but for now I
just wanted to let you everyone know that another user is out there.

I just responded to you on the jEdit-user mailing list... When you change a text property in the property dialog box you must press the <return> key...yes, this is not intuitive and will probably be fixed one day...although I think I do mention this in the tutorial... :^) Again, sorry for the delay in the new release, but my day job is keeping me too busy right now. One is definitely in the works...maybe closer to Spring/Summer if I am lucky. -> richard Stuart Barlow wrote: > platform: java 1.4 on XP > radical: 0.7.1a - June 23, 2002 > > I am running the latest version from source forge > and cannot save properties for widgets. platform: java 1.4 on XP radical: 0.7.1a - June 23, 2002 I am running the latest version from source forge and cannot save properties for widgets. So I cannot change the label on a button etc. When I click on the OK button only the Does this functionality work? Do I have something basic wrong? Ta. Stuart. |
