I am using Radical with jEdit4.0pre9 right now (and I did use it with jEdit4.0pre8 as well. I have done nothing other than copy in the JAR files to the .jedit/jars directory...I just tried it again and it works fine for me.

What version of Jedit did you used for the plugin ? In 4.0pre8 , i receive the following error:
