If someone forgott to start the program it would be nice if there would be the possibility to alter the time of a task manually.

Do you mean the situation when you forget to start the very first task and thus also no starting time is recorded? To be honest, I don't like the idea of manual editing. Rachota is time tracker and not time editor. :-) I have one solution though: what if Rachota starts measuring idle time immediately i.e. right after it's launched? The starting time would not still be recorded though.

Anyway, thanks for your feature request!

It would be great if you indeed can measuring "idle" time at startup.
I'm running into the same problem, when forgetting to start a task.
This is for me one of the most wanted features.

    Or even better:
It would be great if you could select the "auto-start" task.
In stead of "hard-coding" the "idle" task as auto-start task, just make it user-selectable.

    Thanks
    Henk

Henk, it makes a lot sense what you propose! However, such feature would require a slight change in Rachota's core that could potentially destabilize it. In spite of that, this sounds like a good idea so to move further, what would be the best UI? In other words how would you like to select the "auto-start" task?

    Thanks for your cooperation!

Fixed by Henning Tietgens' patch #1676705. When Rachota is launched, measuring of idle time is automatically started. This functionality can be turned off by changing appropriate value in settings.cfg file to automaticStart = false

Functionality will be available in build #070309 published today. Thanks for your enhancement Henk.
