#85 The game adds a character at the end of long 'naut names

The size limit for astro/cosmonaut names is 14 characters. The game has two cosmonauts with 14-letter names, Rozhdestvensky and Preobrazhensky. For some reason, after you click to hire the cosmonauts you've chosen, it sometimes adds a character to the end of one or both names. It seems to do it about 50% of the time, if you hire both, you most typically see one with and one without the extra character (as in the attachment). The extra character is sometimes a letter, sometimes a number, and sometimes another character entirely: I've seen PREOBRAZHENSKY%, for instance. It would be handy if we could either track down what's causing this, or add a bit of code to truncate names to 14 characters.
