This was the official home of Race Into Space, the computer version of the Liftoff! board game by Fritz Bronner. It was developed by Strategic Visions and published by Interplay as a disk-based game in 1993 and a CD-ROM in 1994.
This location houses the prior release of the game, v. 1.1 released in 2013. There is now a v.2.0.0, which can be downloaded from https://github.com/raceintospace/raceintospace/releases/tag/v2.0.0.

Thanks! Be sure to watch our GitHub page. We keep talking about doing another release; I think compiling on Windows might be holding us up a little, but we'd like to put out version 2.0 soon. Edit: we have put out a 2.0 release. It can be downloaded either from here or from the GitHub site. -
Well, I applaud this enhanced version. However this strategy game is far more difficult than it really needs to be. So for me, the best part is the neat intro music which I recorded with my iPhone and then converted it to mp3. Now I got a nice tune to listen too instead of tearing my hair out over this game :)

Excellently enhanced game play. BARIS is a game ive been playing for decades, first on diskette then cd rom. Now I can put away the cd and play on my dell quad core win xp system! This is so great, the graphics and sound are so much better because this version plays better than the cd version. The new enhancements with colors in the astronaut stats are so handy to have!
