Perhaps with a special qualifier indicating it should look in
the VFS Launcher directory for the program.

That might take a really long time to scan. Make shortcuts using Launcher X or Launcher III. They work fine!

    Stacia-

Thanks for the suggestion. But why should it take a long time
to scan? Consider: if it has a special indicator (or special
command) there's no need to look for it in RAM. Locating the
program in the VFS Launcher directory shouldn't even be
noticed compared to the time it'll take to actually launch it (i.
e., copy to RAM & execute).

So I don't think scan time is an issue.

Not being a user (yet?) of Launcher III or X I can't use that
option. Currently I have to go to the standard Palm Launcher,
go to the card's "category" & launch it from there. It'd be nice
to have a way to launch it as quickly & easily with quicktype
as I do my RAM-resident apps using &RUN:

Perhaps a new command would handle it: &RUNVFS:

(Too bad PalmOS doesn't make VFS-residency transparent...)

How do you use the &RUN: command? Do you use it with a name
or a creator id? Can you start your card application, when
    you use the creator id?

I tried using both app name and creator ID for an app stored
on the VFS card & neither works using the &RUN: command. It
only launches items that are in the main memory.

If you added a command &RUNVFS: it could specifically launch
an app on the card. Thanks.
