I am also unable to launch any roms that have spaces in the names. Although I also get error# 33026 or 32796. I m running the newest version of both Quick Play 3.8.2 and 7-zip 4.32.
Not sure if this makes a difference but I double checked under Emulation Management and command line parameters is set to "%ROM%" which should make possible passing the filename with spaces to the command line if I'm not mistaken.
And like Philippe I am able to launch archive that have no spaces in the name without error.

I've narrowed this down, and it works with spaces on my local drive, its on the network drive that it doesnt like spaces. If i remove the spaces on the network drive, it seems to work.
This sounds like a potentially really simple problem, somebody must know how to fix it?!

Ok just did a quick test and I can uncompress 7z files ok with spaces in them. The archive is called "Axelay (E) [!].7z" and the rom inside is "Axelay (E) [!].smc" and it all works fine.
When you rename it to have _ in the name, does that work?

I got this error too, the reason why i got the error was because quickplay and the roms where on a different partition. I moved them all to the same parition and everything works great :)

Hi !
I get an 32796 error when trying to open a goodmerge archive.
My archive has been created using 7z version 4.23.
How can I manage to use my archives ?
Thanks for your job !
Philippe
I just found what's wrong !
The .7z uncompressing dll (or quickplay) doesn't support any space caracter in the archive name ...
2 possibilities :
* I can rename all my archive remplacing " " by "_".
* You could provide a patch this problem.
How could you help ? Do you prefer I rename all my .7z archives ?
Best regards,
Philippe

Thats a bit weird. I will have a look at it today, but im pretty sure that the roms I used to to test 7zip support had spaces in their names..
I will take a look at it today and see if I can duplicate this problem.

I just did exactly the same test as you (Axelay (E) [!].7z).
My results :
- I can't open the archive (as in my previous post)
- When replacing " " by "_" it works fine.
I can't find where I'm wrong.
Just thought i'd add to this, as i'm also having this problem. Has a fix been found?
