Regarding the missing log files is the logging set to use the
ScreenLogFactory in the Banzai / Executor constructor ie line
LogFactory logFactory = new ScreenLogFactory(true, true, true,
logHeartbeats);
in Banazi.java?

This would explain why you are not getting log files
