Dear GNU Queue community, It has been a great pleasure serving as your maintainer. It has been a rewarding although very time-consuming activity. Recently, I've made the decision more or less to stop supporting Queue, at least for now, because of job responsibilities in the real world and lack of time. A number of non-commercial and commercial packages use GNU Queue for load-balancing facilities. If you require support for GNU Queue in connection with these packages, I suggest you contact the distributors of these packages for support with GNU Queue. There are a number of other excellent load-balancing and process migration packages available that are Open Source or quasi-Open Source. These include GNQS, Mosix, Condor, as well as a number of load-balancing packages available from the San Diego Supercomputer Center. If you know of any one interested who might make a good maintainer for GNU Queue, please let me know. In the meantime, please check out the discussions on Sourceforge; there are some members of the community supporting GNU Queue. http://www.gnuqueue.org. -- Werner G.
