well, if nobody objects, monday morning (CET time)  I'll upload the 
packages on sourceforge,
after that we have to made a bit of publishing...

And then we have to decide how to call the next release (1.7d1)? that 
should be released soon after

also I think we have to mark the release d20 on CVS
