I looked at that bug report, even downloaded your test app, but it  
wasn't clear to me that there was anything funny happening with the  
geometry.  I thought it was a bug having to do with textures with  
alpha.  It could be that your app shows 2 bugs, but in that case it  
would be better to have separate test cases.
