Initial Comment:
I have a TriGrid with a custom attribute attached to it. I draw it, 
that works fine. I change the value of the custom attribute and 
save the file. What gets saved is a TriMesh (fair enough) with the 
original version of the custom attribute rather than the new value.

I cannot reproduce this.  If the bug still exists, we need more 
information.
