I sent a reply which doesn't appear to have made it to the list (as
presumably you sent yours afterwards, yet it's made it).

Huh, neither it does - they removed it. I had an old copy of that web
page locally (along with a couple of others like Apache), dating from
May 2002. That version (which is the one I checked in) uses:

    THE REGENTS OR CONTRIBUTORS

While the current version uses:

    THE COPYRIGHT OWNER OR CONTRIBUTORS

So it looks like someone else wondered about that as well. :-) That does
make it clearer, so I'll do a search and replace and switch it to the
current wording.
