Hi, I've had a spot of bother with QUCS on winXP. On the system I am using C: is the HDD and D: is a DVD+RW (empty). * on starting QUCS I get a working directory error dialog, see start-error.png. * simulation fails (using one of the sample circuits), see simulate-error1.png and simulate-error2.png. * viewing last netlist (and similar) fali in a like manner * on exit QUCS I get a can't save settings error dialog, see exit-error.png. This, sadly, makes QUCS rather unuseful on my windows systems. It looks like it should be quite useful. Looks like there may be 2 problems: * pathnames are not being combined appropriately for windows (drive name and path separator problems perhaps). * QUCS has "D:/Users/<username>" hard coded into it as the user folder. This is correct on none of my windows systems; it needs to check the registry for the correct location. cheers John Dubery |
