Hi Ken, 

ASCO is an optimizer with a genetic algorithm that can be included in Qucs. 
When I wanted to do something similar, I directly manipulated the values in the preprocessed file.

I am hoping someone can provide some guidance. 



I am writing a genetic algorithm to optimize a complex RF network. The 
software properly creates a "population" of possible solutions, each 
described by a QUCS schematic file. I need to then have each of these files 
processed by the qucsator back-end (qucsator will be called by my code), but 
have of course discovered that it cannot process .sch files directly. 



Is there an easy way to convert a .sch file to something qucsator can 
digest, without invoking the GUI? I am looking for (preferably) a 
command-line solution that I can simply call form my program. "Plan B" would 
be to write some code (or borrow it from the QUCS source archive) to do 
this.
