Before I post my question, I want to point out that the links people include in the qucs mailing lists should probably include the rel=nofollow attribute, to avoid elevating the reputation of the pointed-to sites. I expect that would reduce the amount of spam you are seeing, since spammers wouldn't benefit from their posts. Not sure if that's under your control, or if sourceforge's control. Question: I have tried a couple times to follow the steps in the "getting started" guide for qucs, making a simple project with a voltage divider schematic and labeling the wire between the two resitors. Both times, when I hit "simulate", I get the following messages: ------------------ Starting new simulation on Sat 25. Nov 2006 at 00:56:59 creating netlist... done. parsing netlist... checking netlist... Errors occured during simulation on Sat 25. Nov 2006 at 00:56:59 Aborted. --------------------- I haven't found any more logging messages anywhere. I tried running qucs --help to find some debug verbosity params, but qucs seems to ignore command-line args and start the gui. FWIW, I compiled qucs since I'm running gentoo (with flags -O2 -march=athlon64), instead of downloading a binary. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong? -Paul |
