Hello,
at first I would thank for this great project because other Spice Programs like LTSpice have an old interface!
I have some ideas which would be great:
1) Adding more shortcuts for example one where a window pops up and there are al parts inside with a text box where you can search your parts like in KiCad (see Attached pic) so you don't have to search on the left the components. One shortcut for all diagrams and simulations ... (Pic21, Pic2)
2) A possibility to move the sheet with the mouse wheel like in many programs.
3) A possibility to move the marker also with the mouse so you can move them faster, and that you can extract a part of the diagram for more detail like in LTSpice without changing the limits manualy
5) I find it more easier for example to place the standard transistor and then select in the properties the specific transistor so you can change it easy when you don't like them.
6) If I want to place a resistor and I would rotate them I have to place them and then rotate them. Is there a possibility that you can rotate them also without placing?

just some quick comments:
1) you may like the Component Search box that will be in the soon-to-be-released 0.0.19 version (see below for link to download a release snapshot). In the Components tab there will be a text search for the components symbols. We plan to have a similar search for the Components Library but it's not there yet.
2) currently the mouse wheel should move the sheet Up/Down, when pressing also Shift it moves Left/Right and with Ctrl it zooms. Isn't this what you mean?
3) yes, these will be nice features to have, will add to the TODO list
(4) is missing :) )
5) ...another feature for the TODO list
6) rotate is on the right mouse button when a component is not yet placed. I think there was some technical limitations for not having it on Ctrl-R but cannot remember now
As said above, currently we have a pre-release of Qucs 0.0.19 available here

you can download qucs-0.0.19-160204-git-83cc216-win64-1.zip (note the "-1") from there and expand it into a temporary folder for testing, without needing to install.

1) Yes, I mean somethink like that, great :). It is possible to set a shortcut which gives this textbox the focus, so you have not to click into the textbox and when you input text the first item gets the focus (for example you press r the resistor or something else important component get the focus), so you can input text press enter and you can place the part without moving the mouse :)
2) No I mean when you click the mousewheel and shove the mouse the sheet should also move, because at the moment right click and pressing the mouse wheel have the same effect.
4) Sorry for missing ;)
5) I used only LTSpice before, so I don't know the workflow of qucs.
6) Ah yes. I didn't tried sorry.
I cloned from git. Is that not the newest version?

2) I see, I don't think we have any action on the mouse middle button at present. I seem to remember, there was some code proposal in the past about this, will take a look
5) yes, this is typical of LTspice (also) but I understand it can be a useful feature
If you cloned from git you have the latest version, yes. I assumed you were a Windows user (as the vast majority) since you also mentioned LTspice :)

No I'm a linux user and I cloned Qucs yesterday from the repository. I use LTSpice with wine. But Qucs has better interface to octave I read.
Is there a possiblity to turn off the grid of the background in the diagram how it's possible at the markers?

...not sure I have understood the question; you can remove the graph grid (Show Grid in the Diagram Properties dialog) and you can make the marker "transparent" (in the Marker Properties dialog).
BTW, the new components search is at present in the "Component Library" tool (Ctrl+5), as said it will be ported to the main GUI, one day.
No I mean the dot grid of the background ( see attached picture). The diagram property "transparent" is always on so you see the background grid.
ok, now it's clear, I'm used to have the diagrams in a separate data display page where there is no grid by default.
AFAIK, no, the graph is always transparent at present. Another line to add to the TODO...
(of course you can turn off the grid in the Document Settings, not the same thing but could be useful as workaround)
Is there a possibility to change the project path in 0.19?

Hello Martin,
you mean the directory where Qucs reads the projects by default? That can be changed in File->Application Settings->Locations->Qucs Home (but this was possible also on 0.0.18).
It will be better to post general messages about Qucs to qucs-help@lists.sourceforge.net as there a more people that could answer there, and keep just the "Feature Request" discussions here, thanks.
