Hi,
I am using QUCS in my Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 workstation (and I am very happy with it! Thanks!).

I have a usability problem that I think I have almost nailed down; it could happily be a user error and easily fixable or some conficuration problem.

The problem is: since more or less early 0.0.17 I find almost impossible to change parameters in the schematics by clicking on the value (and eliciting the blue box that allow me to change it). I think that QUCS thinks that the font size is much smaller than the displayed one. Look at the attached figure:

  • point 1: to change Cje I have to click in the position where the cursor is shown, a bit up and on the right.

  • point 2: the label is over the component here, as if QUCS thought it were considerably smaller.

I never changed the default font (that I can remember), but it is true that my .qucs directory is here since immemorial time...

Is this a configuration problem, something I can solve on my side?

Thanks a lot!

Hi. Which version of Qucs are you running right now?
Have you tried changing the Qucs Home from ~/.qucs to some other directory (File > App. Settings > Location) and create a new schematic?
If you change the default font size do the Component Texts move around?
I have to look into the code to see how the Component Texts are positioned into the canvas.

    Seems fixed in qucs-0.0.19-rc3
