Bugs item #406330, was updated on 2001-03-06 06:05 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100882&aid=406330&group_id=882 Category: Gameplay Group: Visual/Audio >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Players can still bunny hop Initial Comment: I was playing on a server that had bunny hopping disabled (no_pogo etc) and I noticed one player was able to bunny hop. I checked his user info and found he was using quizmo. Not the first time either. I have seen ppl get away with speed cheating by using quizmo as well. Is there anything that can be done? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Bill Currie (taniwha) Date: 2001-03-30 12:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2761 re the admins: good grief. the anti-bunny hopping is disabled by default (ie, bunny hopping is allowed by default). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2001-03-20 21:15 Message: Logged In: NO on some servers (such as zap), the admins have removed the anti-bunny hopping code ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2001-03-18 05:28 Message: Logged In: NO That is essentially a problem involving the proxy used (Qizmo, in your case), not Quakeforge itself as I think it might be. Of course, there are other people who use proxies and manage to find a way to cheat on the server that essentially "reduces cheats" using methods other than speed and action checks. Of course, it could still be a bug with qf-server ;) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100882&aid=406330&group_id=882 |
