Bugs item #231671, was updated on 2001-02-09 02:29 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100882&aid=231671&group_id=882 Category: Misc. Group: Mandatory Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Info String Length Exceeded on config exec. Initial Comment: I'm Jeiph, and I run a non-popular QuakeForge server. I'm reporting a bug that I've just recently experienced. I have someone come into the game, but when he exec's his config, I get a message stating "Info String Length Exceeded". Also, when I connect to the server once his config has been exec'd, I cannot SEE his name anywhere in the /users list, or even on the scoreboard, but I can see him as a player just fine. If you want to look at the config, it's at: ftp://jeiph.servequake.com/autoexec.cfg Thanks! -Jeiph ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Bill Currie (taniwha) Date: 2001-03-30 11:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2761 (not yet released) unneccessary fluff has been trimmed from info strings sent to the server. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bill Currie (taniwha) Date: 2001-02-09 11:08 Message: there is nothing in his autoexec.cfg that will cause an info string overflow. It must be in his config.cfg for the mod you are playing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bill Currie (taniwha) Date: 2001-02-09 11:06 Message: " Just to let you know, The client was using Quake Forge R7 and I was running QuakeForge Server R6. Upon his execution of autoexec.cfg, we received the message "Info String Length Exceeded". See prev. message for more details." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100882&aid=231671&group_id=882 |
