Bug #130240, was updated on 2001-Jan-26 19:06 Here is a current snapshot of the bug. Project: QuakeForge Category: Interface Status: Open Resolution: None Bug Group: Visual/Audio Priority: 5 Submitted by: nobody Assigned to : dabb Summary: green screen when alt-tabbing Details: here's a strange bug, that's present in both beta6 and cvs0125. when using the precompiled binaries (haven't tried from source), alt-tabbing from the Win32 OpenGL client and back to it results in the entire picture being offset downward. the effect is cumlitive, too, so after two or three alt-tabs it's unplayable. I'm using a 3d prophet II MX (geforce chip) under Win2K. Follow-Ups: Date: 2001-Feb-08 17:13 By: nobody Comment: ah, yeah, that worked. although, -brokenpopup causes the Win32 titlebar stuff to show, which forces the bottom twenty pixels or so off the screen. I checked, and the 'green screen' occurs in several flavors of GLQuake, so I assume you're right in that it is a driver problem. I'm using the 6.31 detonator drivers from nvidia, if that helps any. ------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2001-Feb-08 03:11 By: dabb Comment: Looks like driver bug. Get latest binaries http://quake.sourceforge.net/files/newtree-win32-bc-current.zip (or compile your own from current CVS) and try with: qf-client-wgl -brokenpopup I'll try to create workaround bit lateron, but right now that switch is the ONLY way of alt-tabbing with borked drivers. ------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2001-Feb-07 08:06 By: dabb Comment: Probably driver issue. I remember having same kind of effect with some drivers. I'll try to reproduce. ------------------------------------------------------- For detailed info, follow this link: http://sourceforge.net/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=130240&group_id=882 |
