the issue here is that "qtractor" is one whole word and for that effect it must/should be kept as tight as it was originally generated by stressing on that "track" sounding and semantics. "Qtractor" is also a good spell ;)

JRA the logo / banner is great but additionaly could show us what you have in mind for the square png icon in different sizes ? (128, 64, 32 ,16)

Thank you DoosC. Main plan for smaller icons are fewer keys shown in the upper half circle to make it clearer, else more or less the same. I'll be back later with proposal, after I finish up some icons for Vee One suite.

I mean you see a gramophone, you think "oh, a gramophone".
You see those icons, you think "qtractor !".
It is part of the visual identity of the application.

lol. imHo Andy's gramophone is still my favorite--no surprise, i know. it was me full guilty who made hostage of it. and after all years gone by now, it really made it some kind of identity as you say.

I think Jarle's work gives a breath of fresh air to Qtractor. On the other hand you prefer the current icon as it historically represents Qtractor and it seems to have a bit of sentimental value.
What a dilema ;)
I can understand both point of view and see them as perfectly valid.
But I guess that at the end of the day the "great creator" knows the way to go so I guess that the gramophone is here to stay and that the ticket can be closed for now.

It is not far from Qtractors icon.
Different sizes. Could be that this is too far from what Qtractor current has as icon now. Maybe a redrawn 78 gramophone is the way to go.
