Ah, right. I can use looping to do a similar thing. Not as good though - in order to get the advantage of a temporary fixed start point (auto-backwards being off), I have to wait til the loop completes. Easier to flip back to the "main" window, toggle auto-backwards on again. Seems like unnecessary impedance though. All transport controls and shortcuts should be globally available. I just evaluate these things on creative flow - if it's a repeated micro-interruption that could be eliminated, it's flow-negative. Is there a way to drop in/out points (blue bars) with keys instead of having to click around on the bar strip? Be great to avoid a lot of the mousing and clicking that seems to have to be done. Sidenote - "Auto-backwards" - questionable naming. RTZ (return to zero) is a close standard convention. Probly should be RTI for return to in Point - or something.
