Having tone mapped an image regardless of what file type to save is selected only a JPEG image appears to be saved.
I know the issue you're talking about. Currently, the three letter file extension overrides the file type selection. This is the same issue you may encounter in the GIMP.
Basically, if you want to save as another type (such as .BMP) you have to erase the original file extension (such as .JPG) and also select the file type you want.
It would be great if the type selection menu overrode the extension like in a lot of other software, though. Would that be difficult to implement?
