I'm using QTParted as part of SystemRescueCD. I was
able to shrink my NTFS drive from about 54 GB to 47
GB but not any smaller. There is only about 25 GB of
data/programs on the drive.
What do I need to do to get the partition smaller?

Empty trashcan, remove temp files, remove all old Restore
Points, defragment your drive - twice, or even triple.
