#36 gaim crash after install

I followed the instal instructions to the letter. All the
required packages installed correctly. Gaim installed
correctly. When I click on the Gaim icon to start the
program, the zaurus appears to do something because
the hour glass pops up, however Gaim never starts, the
zaurus just hangs for a few seconds. The program is
never loaded, and appears to crash. Any ideas on this
one?

I am having the exact same problem, I followed all steps to
install but Gaim never starts. Help would be greatly
appreciated.

Quick question, have you rebooted after the install? Try that first.
If you still can't get it to start, go to a console, and run it from there
(from memory, /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/gaim ), and post the output of
that (or google the results first in case you find a fix).

Ok, a bit too quick on posting that error. Installed
libopie1.ipk from
http://qpe-gaim.sourceforge.net/feed/release and it worked.
