On Zaurus Sharp ROM error messages are:

libpng warning: Application was compiled with png.h
from libpng-1.0.9
libpng warning: Application is running with png.c
from libpng-1.2.5
libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in
application and library
QPixmap::convertFromImage: Cannot convert a null image gaim

As workarround you can use attached libpng.so v.1.0.9
compiled for arm.
Just put in /usr/lib and make symlinks libpng12.so and
libpng12.so.0 to libpng12.so.0.1.2.5
