#19 Gaim 1.3 wont work after QTOPIA restart

I have been trying to figure out why GAIM (latest
version with all the SSL stuff) doesn't seem to work.

I have a 5500, with Sharp 3.1 ROM.

I have discovered that GAIM works fine, in all protocols,
after a hard reset. If I install any apps which require a
QTOPIA restart, or just start QTOPIA because I feel like
it (landscape mode for example) it stops working with an
MSN plug in message. All other protocols appear
unaffected.

Now, I have installed GAIM last, and it doesn't work if
QTOPIA has EVER been restarted.

Something must happen with a QTOPIA restart with this
ROM which means that the GAIM MSN 1.3 thingummy
won't work. Let me stress, even if GAIM is installed and
you don't retstart QTOPIA, it won't work if your zaurus
has ever had qtopia restarted (a reboot doesn't effect it
the same way).

First off, that's Gaim 0.3 :) Not 1.3, or GAIM (legal issues
    with AOL). Obligatory comment.

Does the error say it needs SSL? If so, it sounds like SSL
isn't being properly installed. Where are you installing the
SSL libs to? Can you verify that /usr/lib/libgnutls* exists?

sorry about the version number. Yes, I
confirm that the libs are all in place. It
works fine UNTIL i restart qtopia, then
it stops working with a message about
    the MSN library. Other protocols
continue to work. This is on a zaurus
5500 with 3.1 rom and hard reset
    before testing.

I am not a developer (err.. IANAD) but it might help if you can paste
in the message you get when starting qpe-gaim after a qtopia restart.
It sounds to me like it's going to be a Sharp-rom specific issue, I
haven't seen this behaivour on OZ3.2
