Bug or missing feature: Are You Sure You Want To Quit?
Status: Beta

It is too easy to mistakenly close down the client and
lose a lot of chat state (either with the upper right hand
corner qtopia app close button, or the keyboard button).
Perhaps an "Are You Sure? Y/N" dialog box should be
presented? A subsequent press of N or cancel should
complete the shutdown.

Rather than add dialogs for the user to handle when just closing the
app, would including an option (default off) to log conversations be
better? I have been stung before with losing messages I hadn't seen
yet (sometimes user error, sometimes qpe-gaim crashes), and
logging conversations would solve the problem in both cases, while
confirming exit would both deviate from the way most pda apps
operate, and would not solve the problem when qpe-gaim crashes
(which never happens, of course ;-)
Turning logging on should be accompanied with a warning message
(got space?) - I just had to re-flash my Z due to a full root partition.
Unfortunately, this sounds like it would be a fair bit of work though
(logging, not the exit dialog) so it would probably come after
notification options :-)
Not exactly what brendan wanted, but another possible
resolution for consideration.
