BTW... one of the next steps will be to "port" QMC2 to Qt 5 as it's announced to be released by the end of June -- see http://qt-project.org/wiki/Qt-5. The porting effort itself is actually expected to be quite small, and of course, Qt 4.7 and esp. 4.8 will continue to be supported by QMC2 for at least a year or so, well, at least until all major Linux distributions have Qt 5 in their "portfolio" :). However, there are a few interesting new features & modules in Qt 5 I might start using earlier (Qt5-only then, of course), and most importantly, GUI performance is said to be a major step forward. Well, we'll see -- it's not bad in Qt 4 already :)! I haven't checked the Qt 5 alpha-release yet (it was released on the 20th of March 2012), and I also don't plan to do so. I will either wait for the beta- version (expected for April/May) or check out the git-repository... probably the latter. I'll let you know the results when I find the time to do this stuff!
