Try putting a log entry at the beginning like this: log "Running mailfilter for $USERNAME@$USERHOST" If that's just showing a logentry like "Running mailfilter for @", then try putting this at the top of your mailfilter: SHELL="/bin/bash" (or whatever the appropriate path to bash is) See if that solves anything.
