Why did you "Dropped old "Start minimized to system tray" option from setup." ?
Now I cannot do that anymore, and the opnion in config file StartMinimized=true doesn't seem to work...
because on some modern WMs out there the thing tended to vanish into an invisible hole (ie. no system tray icon shown whatsoever) and you simply loose control of how many instances of qjackctl are lurking there and preventing jackd to function properly if at all.
hth.
cheers

But that's why it was an optional setting right ? somebody needs it, somebody can disable it
At least from the config file this setting should work right ? or the intended behavior is to fully remove the functionality ?
I run jack at boot and use i3wm. Having to close manually the full screen window at every boot is something I was happily avoiding before...

Very disappointed this feature was removed. It worked perfectly for me in KDE5. This is a massive degredation of the user experience in my use case. Now I am forced to implement some kind of hacky solution to hide the window myself.
Please revert this change and add a warning to the feature if it doesn't work for some people.

Thank RMS ! There is nothing "old" about a tray app not uselessly popping up on its autorun.
It's would be nice to also have an option to disable this new "Add double-click action (toggle start/stop) to systray" so a stray click wouldn't crash everything down. Who even uses double-click on tray anyway ?
