thanks very much for taking the time, and using your
skills to write up these drivers!
as i am a totally imbecilic linux newbie who has not
been able to find anywhere how to handle .tar type
install files, could you put it in a .rpm file?
i am using 8.2 linux-mandrake, and it was supposed to
work out of the box with a quickcam express. but says
no camera visible. and i have the ports turned on.
gnomemeeting says no camera present. so that is why i
am looking for drivers.

If somebody will make an rpm, I'll be happy to put it into
file releases.
By the way, Mandrake and SuSE seem to come with the driver (but it hardly works in other distributions and it's old version anyway)
