i need a programm, to release snapshots of the webcam to my disk on the server for the internet, which software? got no xserver, how can i test the camera? please help.

i had a depmod error, the modules still were loaded, recompiled the kernel, without set version number, and now there is no depmod error!
but when i try to make a picture with vidshow i get the following kernel massages
