I am researching variable pitch vawts and am using compiled source code, The software is a real pleasure to use.
I have found that the variable pitch data is sometimes read in wrongly from a sim file. Has anyone else experienced this? The same value at different time steps can be read in as a different value? I have noticed this using the Qdebug function.
Thank you
Regards James

you are correct. There is a small problem in the current release leading to the pitch angles being read in inconsistently. If I remember correctly this happens when the sim file is being read in. In our working version this is already fixed. Unfortunately I dont remember exactly what the problem was - but I think that is occurs when you have multiple rotors with a different number of blades in your database and then read in this simfile with one rotor selected and changing that afterwards in the CreatorDialoge. You can check the functions QLLTCreatorDialog::OnImportWindFile() and QLLTSimulation::UpdateSimulationParameters(double time) to track down this issue in the source code.
