failed to load global definition?

i emerge qalculate on gentoo, well, so long as i run qalc or
qalculate, it complains that could not load global definitions from
"/var/tmp/portage....", i know that's a temp dir, the real definitions are in "/usr/share/qalculate/" , however, i could do nothing about that , it's not configurable.. any ideas?

  that's obviously an ebuild related problem, so you should post a bug on http://bugs.gentoo.org

  i have found it builds ands runs ok on another gentoo box.
