#64 Live CD doesn't boot on MacBook Air 1.1

Hardware: MacBook Air 1.1
Steps to reproduce: Create a bootable USB from Q4OS Live CD 64bit iso and try to boot it

Description:
Boot process ends in early initramfs phase with message 'Unable to find a medium containing a live file system'. See Q4OS forum report and discussion http://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1811

Most likely some modules to recognize USB hardware are not compiled into the initramfs image. Any connections and related findings would be appreciated, please post them here.

Findigs: Debian stable installation media are reported to boot correctly and regular Debian installation works.
